Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhonda Katan.
Hi Rhonda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Please allow me to introduce myself to you. I have a passion to help people in their quest for comprehensive healing. In my personal journey, I have traveled down a long road filled with trauma, abuse, and various health issues that can manifest when trauma starts from the womb out and continues through adulthood. As a trauma survivor, I was gifted with a strong sense to survive and meet challenges head on. I am devoted and dedicated to learning and researching to solve problems. In addition, I am quite sensitive and empathetic to others. This combination gives me the ability to help those struggling with complex and hard issues, as well as keep my heart present when working with clients because in many ways I have ‘walked a mile’ in their shoes. I have discovered victory and healing for myself which gives me a personal perspective that I offer to my clients. Honoring each of my clients’ unique, remarkable, complex, individual issues, I understand that not everyone fits into one specific box. I truly believe and have experienced, personally and professionally, that comprehensive care is a necessity for all.
I am qualified to wear many hats through the degrees, licenses, and certifications I have received, which include:
• Licensed Registered Nurse
• Functional Medicine Practitioner
• Board Certified Faith-Based Therapist
• Licensed Minister
• Certified Life and Wellness Coach
My aim is to empower One’s Well-Being and offering Comprehensive Holistic Care…
My practice offers a place where you can get nurturing for the health of your body, soul, and spirit.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As with any journey there have been many obstacles, trials, and various struggles to persevere through. When I look back at my life journey I am amazed that I am where I am. I am thriving, own a very successful private practice, and have helped thousands heal and transform their lives.
In all honesty, my beginnings were so rough that statistically I would be one perhaps walking the streets, caught up in a life of chemical and behavioral addictions and suffering from one toxic relationship to another. Don’t get me wrong, part of my life story does include some of these elements, especially the toxic relationships. However, I believe through God’s grace, guidance, and me co-laboring with Him I was able to make the choices necessary to thrive instead of fail in my adult years.
I am very familiar with Narcissistic abuse and suffered through that from my family of origin, as well as, in a relationship and marriage for 27 years. Through hard work, sacrifices, and truly facing myself in addition to establishing healthy boundaries I was able to bring my two beautiful children and myself through the fire of that experience and find freedom into a healthy and joyful life that I could never imagine being available to me. I love that through all my hardships I have experience and a word of counsel to offer to whomever I am able to help. Going through the tough stuff gives you incredible resilience and reference. As you heal, you pay it forward and it helps others either avoid or get out of their toxic messes.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Therapeutic Counseling and Wellness Services of San Antonio, LLC?

Functional Medicine Services
We often categorize and separate our health needs, such as separating them into mental health and physical health boxes. The reality is that they work together with one another. For example, many mental health issues have significant connections to physical and nutritional problems. When addressed, mental health issues can often resolve. Additionally, having chronic physical issues can contribute and increase the risk of developing mental health problems.

Spiritual Care
It’s my honor to be trained in integrating spiritual services into what I do with clients. For those open to this, I bring prayer, scripture, Godly counsel, and open discussions to our sessions. I believe strongly in the life verse that God gave to me long ago. “The Spirit of the Lord is on me because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.” (Luke 4:18). I have taken this scripture to heart and received training and certifications with this in mind.
When God sets us free, He does not intend for us to spend one more day trapped in bondage and slavery. It is living a life that is so free that nothing controls you—no substance, no feeling, no event in the past, or no worry about the future.
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36
Coaching
As a life coach, I am professionally trained to help you maximize your full potential and reach the goals you have set for your life. Maybe you have reached an important crossroads and you don’t know which way to go. As your life coach, I am a combination of a supportive friend and a trained advisor you can trust, all rolled into one.
I will push you to identify your goals, hold you accountable, and provide encouragement throughout your journey to become a better version of yourself. I know how to ask the right questions, communicate effectively, and get to the heart of your needs and desires in life.
Let’s start by asking a few questions:
Am I frequently irritable?
Do I have the inability to break bad habits?
Do I lack fulfillment in my social life?
Do I have a persistent feeling of dissatisfaction at work?
Do I feel like my creativity is blocked?
Am I at a crossroads in my life?
Do I feel like I am ineffective or failing as a parent?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, life coaching would be beneficial to you. We will approach these obstacles in your life as they apply to you through:
Life Coaching: Systematically evaluating and assessing your life needs.
Business Coaching means systematically evaluating and assessing your business’s needs.
Parenting Coaching: systematically evaluating and assessing your parenting needs

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Never give up! Lean into God! Pray! Pray! Pray! Set goals everyday for yourself.
Let others lend you a hand and don’t try to go at it alone. Seek all that you can to learn, understand, and apply to be the most optimal individual you can be.
There isn’t a mountain out there that you can’t cross over….believe in yourself and stay the course towards being healthy. Freedom comes at a cost–hard work, perseverance, failing and trying again and again, until ultimatly you will find that success you’ve been after. Each day is a new day and you get the opportunity to re-frame your negative thoughts, beliefs, and processes until through refinement you reach those goals you’ve established.
