Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
How did I get started, and a little about myself? It all started when I was growing up and living with my mom, a single parent of my two brothers (Nick & Anthony), and my Grandma. They would always make us clean and make sure that we did it the right way. So, as I got older, it stuck with me the way they showed us how to clean around the house and started using that. About eight years ago, I started with a company that did a lot of post-construction and residential and commercial cleans now and then. As we did the cleans, I would take in all the information on what I was doing wrong and what ways would be the best to get it done. When the time with that company came to a close, I always dreamed of starting my own company, and that’s when I decided to start my cleaning service with Nikki’s Cleaning Services. I started with family and friends, testing my skills and everything I had learned and asking them to let me know how I did. As I realized they were impressed with my work, I asked them to spread the word to those they knew, letting them know if they needed my services. Two years later, I am launching my new business name and logo, Pretty B’s Cleaning Services. I am keeping everything the same regarding service and satisfaction, just starting fresh on being able to expand, and what better way than with a new name?
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, just like everything, there have been things that I have had to overcome and am still dealing with. We had only one vehicle and had to make it work when I had jobs and my husband would have to work. Since he goes in early in the morning, I would have to get up to take him to work, but I could come home and get a few more hours of sleep before I started. Having two young ones plus a high schooler at the time, school didn’t help either, as I would have to ensure I could complete every job before they got out to pick them up. Luckily, I started my jobs after I would drop them off at school.

To expand my business by hiring more employees and to have a little office of my own. I look forward to the day that I have to make sure all is well at job sites and let my team handle the jobs.
