Hi Nadia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I became a market organizer after 2 years of opening my small business. I struggled to find organizers that I felt comfortable with and realized that many events lacked essential vendor resources, so I created my own monthly markets. In February of 2023, I celebrated my first year as a market organizer.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My challenges have been finding the right locations and businesses to work with. It is difficult to find a location that offers the necessities that vendors require, such as restroom access and free parking, while also providing good communication and wanting to promote.

The Market SATX was created in February of 2022 as a travel pop-up market. The concept is to find like-minded, supportive small businesses with which to make a shopping experience. Every month, I curate a variety of local businesses and bring them together to showcase their products to potential new/returning customers. I am proud of the community that continues to grow from these markets. I pride myself on giving the best to both our vendors and customers by accommodating their needs. As a market organizer, you can expect fast and reliable communication, consistency, respect, and hard work to promote and make every event successful. What’s next?
As I write this, I am proud to share that a business friend and I collaborated and hosted our biggest market yet! It was an indoor venue and fit over 35 vendors. It was a team effort to curate it and allow it to run as smoothly as it did. We have another big event scheduled for September and are excited to start planning.
