Hi Judith, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi, my name is Judith Onuwa I am a 22 year old hairstylist and salon owner. I started braiding my freshman year of college during COVID and by the grace of God 4 years later I was able to scale my business and open my own salon!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth journey but through God anything is possible. With business you have your good and bad moments but it’s important to know you are not the only one going through it. Nobody tells you how to do business so you truly just have to learn through trail and error but a little faith and knowing how to roll with the punches will get you far.

I am a hairstylist. I specialize in braids more so bohemian braids! I think what sets me apart is the quality of the service and the dedication to my craft. Every client should get a luxury service and leave feeling brand new! I am most proud of opening my new luxury salon in the San Antonio area named Beauty Bar by Ju. I would love the readers to know that this is just the beginning and there is so much more to come so stay tuned!
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory would have to be me getting my little sisters ready for school in the morning. Coming from a big family sometimes I had to help out where I could so I would help get my little sisters ready. I would try different styles on them and treat them like little Barbie dolls. I think that definitely contributed to my love for what I do now and I still do their hair to this day!
