Exploring Life & Business with Jennifer Kipp

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Kipp.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always tended to do things against the grain. When my husband and I first married I knew I wanted to do anything I could that allowed me time with our kids. I grew up with my mom as a single parent. She worked so hard and while I would never hold this against her I remember missing her so much at certain functions. My grandparents stepped in and that was a huge blessing. So when I became a mom I wanted to try to do what I could as a creative. I do realize not everyone is able to be an Entrepreneur.m nor have the means to do it. It’s hard and you can face a lot of obstacles. I remember when I started influencer marketing a lot of people didn’t understand what I was doing or understood how I was trying to make a career out it. My mom became ill several years ago and having the flexibility (while we majorly sacrificed) also allowed me to help my grandmother who was her caregiver at the time.

How it began is it all started with my husband’s camera. I always loved photography since I was little and have Polaroids of me creating backdrops and posing. It then led to me doing actual photography. I had someone from church who was a photographer take me under her wing. That’s when influencer marketing and photography collided. Since then I’ve had the privilege of working with some amazing businesses and brands helping them create brand awareness as well as content they can use for their marketing. While I continue to do photography and influencer marketing. I’m also a business partner with a faith based apparel brand called His Collection apparel and work part time at a local boutique called Sashi’s boutique.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all! There have been a lot of no’s along the way. When you come across a No you have to remember this doesn’t define your worth. Rather each No gets you closer to a yes. Also, it’s been hard at times not having others understand this type of journey. I also have social media working against me. There are constant moving parts to getting yourself seen and out there. With some, it’s easier to grow and with me, it’s been a bit hard and taken longer.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
His Collection apparel was founded by my dear friend Amanda Mercer. God gave her this vision back in 2017. The business officially launched in December of 2019. The purpose of His Co is to be a for profit to help sustain non-profits and ministries. 10% of sales are tithed each month. We also do service projects through our yearly event we host as well as doing meet ups with our His Warrior community.

For influencer marketing, I help create organic content for businesses. I can also create high resolution photos and videos that can be used by the brand for their own marketing purposes.

What sets me apart is I love Jesus and love people. I am an empathizer. I’m genuinely always thinking of others. There is true joy when I work as unto the Lord and also get to serve others through my work. I also am very vulnerable and share a lot of my journey being an advocate for my mom who has dementia.
