Today we’d like to introduce you to Freddy Lopez.
Hi Freddy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Freddy Lopez, 41 years old, originally from Venezuela, South America. I am an entrepreneur, adventurer, and musician. In my country, I used to be a college teacher for a few years; I was doing entrepreneur conferences, pitch elevators to promote a website business kind of similar to Uber and Lyft related to different kinds of services, the name was Qiklik.com.
At the same time, I had a professional hobby as a drummer musician (that I still play), so I used to be on tour and traveling with my rock band on weekends, and also doing drum workshops once a month. I had a very active life mixing business, learning, music, and working out as well. But from day to other things in my country by 2017 were turning dangerous and more difficult and I decided to move to San Antonio TX my favorite city in the USA. And I left everything behind. Fortunately, my father lives in San Antonio and it was easier for me.
When I started here, I began a totally new life, from the scratch, riding a bicycle to go to work, installing furniture in Dell, Facebook, Google, IBM campus in Austin, when I never used a tool in my life before, but it was a funny, interesting, necessary and challenging experience that I needed. I was traveling to Austin back and forth every day for a year, I used to be picked up at some Walmart in the very early morning, then in two months; I bought my first truck, During this first year with my new life, in a new country was a funny, challenging and spiritual experience.
After my first year, I decided to join a great opportunity to get back to entrepreneur life and its the insurance industry, which I saw allowed me to impact positively and massively a lot of people, so I joined Invida FN, which is my second family here in the states, and I been learning, applying and impacting families with different and very important benefits, living benefits, tax-free retirement plans, ACA-Obamacare and more.
I am serving and building a huge clients community and developing and training agents that are looking for an opportunity and independence to do the same as me. Finally, I think life is a story that I build every day with the best I can give and serve others is building a legacy.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It had been a funny, challenging, beautiful, spiritual, life-changer experience. Definitely, I love it! I am blessed.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am educating, creating, building, and taking care of families, individuals, business owners, and employees’ legacies. That’s my mission, and I prepare personalized health-life and tax-free living benefits retirement plans and I love doing it because is about educating people and preparing them to walk and stand tall with peace of mind in their present and future.
It’s sad for me to see people sleeping in their cars at a very advanced age because they ran out of money for not having a plan, education, or retirement orientation.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I had great people and angels beside me, as my dad (Freddy Lopez), good friends, and marvelous mentors like Phillip Hudgins, Tim Sparkman, Rich Rossi, Guadalupe Nieto, Mildred Lopez, Emcie Aleman, Mike Vidal, and Mayerling Caraballo, and Sandra Guerrero in the insurance industry.
I appreciate them very much, they had touched me by their experiences, in-person, seminars, convention, personal mentoring, and conversations about leadership, sales, marketing, life, and much more, I am very grateful to them.
