Today we’d like to introduce you to Augustine.
Hi Augustine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
It all started with my parents and their dreams to become successful business owners. They started off in the most difficult ways of life as they worked very hard from working along migrant workers and picking fruits all the way in Michigan. They had 8 children and i am the youngest and heard all the great struggles and life difficulties my parents had to endure to come from nothing to being successful commercial painting business owner to owning a restaurant and several commercial properties. This is at their later years of life; they had a dream for us to work together and start another restaurant with a piece of property that my siblings and I helped to do this for 3 years and closed it down and i had an idea and proposed to my family that we should remodel this property into a venue, and this is where my story begins with a dream of God telling me to start the business and with the help of all my family we finally decided to open up what now is The Venetian Event Venue.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I cannot say that it has been a hard struggle as that part my parents went through and gave all of us the greatest advice in life is to believe in God and to do either two things in life. That is to start your own business or go to get an education. I can say that my life’s decisions have taught me a lot of what not to do and hearing the voices of parents and what i should do. I have heard my whole life and tried so many things and jobs here and there that only care about what you can do for the company. Even at my job they only saw me as #. My last job was pretty toxic environment with one of the worst bosses you can imagine and owners that only cared about one thing and that is greed pretty much. Im glad for going through my job as this taught me a great deal of how not to run a business or treat the people that work for you.

We are a venue that works with all budgets and welcome all walks of life to have a place to come together and create long lasting memories. We are different as we are a family-owned business, and we try our best to help our community and bring everyone together with events we conduct. We love to help organizations from veteran based to suicide prevention have a place to bring awareness. We also offer space to churches and so on to have a safe place to worship. We go beyond for everyone who wants to have their event with us.
