Hi Anila, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Anila Mustafa ,i am an endocrinologist in practice since 2017
i moved from east cost to TX after i join UT heath science center after finishing my fellowship at Penn state Hershey PA
After staying at academia for few year i decided to explore and went to start my own practice
it was not easy and i did npt have prior experiance but i took the leap of faith and start my own
In the begining ,i time share my office space and over 3 years peroid i gradually move to my own space
i like to live in New braunfels with my 2 boys since its still have small town feel and very friendly people
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No it was not
i was raising 2 lids by myself and try to establish my own practice
i was very scared in the begining with fear of failure and was worried about fianace since there was no fix income or pay check coming every month

i am solo endocrinologist in New braunfels area

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
i give up my stable job and monthly pay chcek and took a risk to start my own clinic
it was not easy with lots of finacial pressure but i am happy that i took this risk
