Today we’d like to introduce you to Allen Sampson.
Hi Allen, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Allen had always had a fascination with old cars and racing. His late father was a certified Ford Mechanic. He grew up around cars and racing. He decided to graduate high school early and attend WyoTech in Wyoming for Automotive collision, refinishing and chassis fabrication in Winter 2009. When he graduated WyoTech in 2010, he went to work at a local hot rod shop in New Braunfels. He quickly decided that he wanted to open his own business and did when he was just 20 years old. After many long hours, hard work, studying the craft, trial and error with employees, we were able to build our dream shop in 2021. We have been in our new shop for the last 5 years. Our business and name have become a staple in the New Braunfels Hot Rod Scene. We are known for our show quality paint, custom fabrication and overall high-end performance builds.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, running a business is never a smooth road. When Allen first opened his business, he broke his arm in a motocross accident and had to learn to sand on vehicles with one arm. Since then, there has been many growing pains like creating the right team, learning to manage people at a young age, balancing work and family life, etc.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a leading hot rod builder in the Texas Hill Country. We are known for our show quality craftsmanship, attention to detail and honest work in the hot rod industry. What sets us apart is our team is relatively young with young owners. We are most proud for the quality of work that we do. Each of our employees puts pride into their craft and that plays a big part into how our builds come together. We love to bring joy to our customers by bringing their dream vehicles to life. We are a tight knit, family-oriented business. We put God first and we love what we do.
We are also a racing family and have become very active in the go-kart world. We not only have a speed shop for hot rods but now have grown and carry a variety of go-kart parts, chassis and engines.
How do you think about happiness?
Seeing our creations come to life and the joy on our customer’s faces when they get to drive their vehicles for the first time. It also makes us happy to share the love of hot rods with our fellow hot rod community. Older vehicles have such an amazing history, and we love to keep it alive. We also enjoy being able to share our passions with our children. We have been able to combine our love of hot rods and racing into our business.
