Today we’d like to introduce you to Vero Garcia.
Hi Vero, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It was completely by accident. I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer, we lost her in less than 4 weeks since her diagnosis, then I had major surgery and while recovering I discovered bookstagram.
I remember saying, “why not” my mom always encouraged us to try new things and she was a book lover as well.
Three years later my life is completely different, it’s been a crazy ride so far, but in the best way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I guess my biggest struggle so far is that I’m an introvert, so showing myself out there is completely out of my comfort zone.
It’s hard work, but the bookstagram community is really supportive.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Always been an introvert, but with my close friends I’m not that shy and I love hanging out with them.
I love art, music, dogs, chocolate and books. I have three sisters, I’m the second oldest, we all love to read.
I wanted to be a Doctor, but I can’t handle blood, at all, so I focused instead on arts, I’m a graphic designer and work from home.
“It’s never to late to start over, find what makes you happy and stick to that.”
