Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Redden.
Hi Tiffany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
As a veteran and military spouse, I have moved around quite a bit and held down several occupations, but I have always been creative and artistic. Once I picked up a camera, that’s all she wrote, as they say. My husband bought me my first point-and-shoot camera, and now my children are my favorite models. When my friends from church noticed that I was taking pictures of everything, they started asking me to take photos of them. That was adding fuel to my creative fires. My husband saw that I loved every second of it and encouraged me to go to school for photography. The next thing I knew, I was enrolled in the Art Institute of Washington! Photography has opened doors and allowed me to meet some of the most wonderful people. And as you know, my husband bought me my first professional Canon camera. Making eye contact with him and my children as I crossed that stage, getting my degree in photography was the best reward and one of my most cherished memories. From there, LadyRedd Creations Photography was created.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Going back to school as an adult with children was not only an obstacle but also a fear. The classes were filled with all these young minds, which caused me to doubt myself. Finding new ways to balance my studies and family was also challenging, but it was worth it. Having to come up with new learning techniques might as well have been carving out Mount Rushmore, but with God’s wisdom and a boost from my family, I made it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Photography is not just taking pictures for me; it’s capturing that special moment for a lifetime. I have taken wedding, culinary, maternity, and baby photos, but covering special events such as conferences and ceremonies is close to my heart. What sets me apart is the ability to take professional photos with a classy, personal touch! The ambiance of the scene, the emotion and feeling frozen and preserved for all to see.
Can you talk to us about the role of luck?
There is no luck in my life and business; all good things come from God. Bad things in my life serve as teaching lessons to help me grow and develop.
