Today we’d like to introduce you to Salina Rose Moreno
Hi Salina Rose, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Five years ago I decided to go back to school at the age of twenty seven to seek my purpose and pursue my passion in the beauty industry. Prior to becoming a beauty professional the majority of my work history was in the medical field, so I had to get out of my comfort zone to follow my dream. Upon starting the esthetics program I already knew I wanted to specialize in lash extensions and brow services but had you asked me 5 years ago if I was going to be where I’m at today, I would’ve never imagined this. I almost dropped out of beauty school due to medical problems, COVID also shut down the world and lastly, learning how to do lash extensions did not come easy for me. These trials taught me to trust the process, be patient with myself and ultimately to never give up. I started my business (RoseRoyce Beauty) just after eight months of working at a lash salon. It took some faith and determination to get my business started but I owe it all to my family, friends, and clientele for their endless support. I’m so grateful for the support system I have, they’ve been the ones who’ve helped me keep going and without them I wouldn’t be where I’m at today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This has been far from a smooth road, I started my business with no clue how to run one. I was also still very new to the beauty industry. At the time, I had only been licensed/lashing for several months so I hadn’t even built up a full clientele yet or fully perfected my skills. The toughest part was that I was not allowed to inform the clients I did have about my new business due to a non compete agreement from the place I was employed at. So business for me was pretty slow at the beginning, I had to work very hard to get my name out and to earn the trust of new clientele especially because I was a new lash artist.

You can expect to receive a relaxing beauty makeover in a clean, fun and professional environment. The services we offer are lash extensions, lash lifts, and brow services such as brow wax/tinting and brow lamination services. I take pride in my work and most known for being a detail oriented artist because every service is tailored to meet each clients beauty goals. The most popular service clients like to book are lash extensions. We offer a wide variety of styles ranging from natural and dramatic sets to choose from and each set is customized per client to meet their desired look. I’m most proud of my improvement in my skills in my work as well as the growth in clientele over the years.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Never stop working on your craft take continue education courses/certifications to advance in your skills. That is what helped me find a mentor because most educators who offer these courses also offer lifelong mentorship. As for networking, social media has been a big help for me but also attending local pop up/entrepreneur events, get involved in your community. Not only was I was able to gain knowledge about running a business at some of these events but I have met incredible business owners and goal oriented people along the way.
