Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Connolly
Hi Monica, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For nearly two decades, I lived my life for others—my children, my husband, my family—and I lost myself in the process. I lost my infant son, and soon after, my world shifted again when my husband suffered a traumatic brain injury. At the same time, I was caring for my two medically challenging children while being the sole financial provider for our family. The weight of these back-to-back crises was overwhelming. Each day was a relentless battle, and in my grief and exhaustion, I focused entirely on caring for my family, pushing my own health and emotional needs aside until I had nothing left to give to myself. In doing so, I ignored my own health, my body, and my emotional needs.
The breaking point came when my doctor gave me a warning I couldn’t ignore. My health was failing, and if I didn’t make drastic changes, I wouldn’t live. At that moment, I realized that while I had been keeping everyone else alive, I had been slowly dying. I knew I had to change. Not just for my family—but for me.
That moment marked the beginning of my transformation. Over the past two years, I have lost 140 pounds, healed my body from the inside, changed my mindset and regained my strength. More importantly, I have reclaimed my identity and sense of purpose. But it wasn’t just about the physical changes—it was about healing emotionally, addressing trauma, and reshaping my mindset. Through this journey, I discovered the power of resilience. I found out that while I had spent years fighting for others, I was capable of fighting for myself, too.
Today, I help women who find themselves in the same place I was. They’ve lost their sense of self, overwhelmed by the demands of caregiving and life’s relentless challenges. My mission is to guide them through a transformation of their own—one that focuses on healing both the mind and body. Through holistic health practices, mindset shifts, and faith-based values, I help them reclaim their power and take control of their health and their lives.
Gut health has been a cornerstone of my journey. I’ve seen firsthand how healing the body from the inside out can change everything. By prioritizing nutrition, life balance, and self-care, I was able to shed not just weight, but the pain and exhaustion that had weighed me down for years. I now share these same strategies with my clients, helping them integrate supplements and lifestyle changes that are manageable yet life-changing.
What sets me apart is my deep empathy for the women I serve. I know their pain because I’ve lived it. I understand the guilt they feel for taking time for themselves, the overwhelm that keeps them stuck, and the fear that they’ll never get back to who they used to be. But I also know that it’s possible to reclaim your life, to heal, and to thrive.
The greatest reward for me has been seeing the transformation in others. Watching my clients reconnect with themselves, regain their health, and rediscover their purpose is the reason I do this work. I’m proud of the community I’ve built—strong, resilient women who are learning to live on their terms and embrace their true potential.
My journey was born out of unimaginable hardship, but it led me to a place of deep purpose. And now, I get to help others find their way to that place, too.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My life has been anything but smooth. For nearly two decades, my life revolved around caring for my children, both of whom faced serious medical challenges, and supporting my husband after his traumatic brain injury. Every day was a fight for their well-being, and while I was pouring everything into their needs, I lost sight of my own health and identity.
The constant stress led to my own health spiraling out of control. I suffered from chronic pain due to a rare genetic disorder and was diagnosed with numerous health issues that put my life in danger. On top of this, I faced the unimaginable heartbreak of losing my infant son, a pain that I still carry with me every day.
Physically, I felt trapped in my body, which had become a reflection of all the burdens I carried. The emotional toll was even heavier. I struggled with feelings of guilt and shame for taking any time for myself. It wasn’t until I was forced to confront my own mortality that I realized I had to make a change—not just for me, but for the people who depended on me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a holistic health and wellness coach, master life coach, and mindset and transformational coach. My work is centered around helping women who are often the primary caregivers and financial supporters of their families. I guide my clients through personalized transformation journeys, focusing on mindset shifts, emotional healing, and holistic practices like gut health, movement, and mindfulness. Additionally, I’m building a network marketing business that empowers people to improve their health while achieving financial success, offering them an opportunity to thrive on their own terms. I am most proud of the lives I’ve helped transform. Many of my clients have not only found their voice and reclaimed their health, but they have also built stronger connections with their purpose, becoming more confident, resilient, and empowered women. Personally, my own health transformation, where I lost 140 pounds and healed my body, stands as a testament to the belief that change is always possible. What sets me apart is my personal experience of overcoming significant challenges and my deep understanding of what it means to juggle the role of caregiver and provider while putting your own needs last. I combine that experience with a holistic approach to health that addresses not just the physical but also the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of wellness. I’m deeply committed to helping women heal from the inside out, offering not just quick fixes but long-term solutions that empower them to reclaim their lives. My coaching is centered around faith, resilience, and living with purpose—ensuring that the women I work with feel supported, seen, and capable of achieving lasting change.
