Hi Marco, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born and raised by immigrant parents First generation American started from humble beginnings started medical school in Mexico with and academic scholarship after my first year of attendance. graduated from medical school and continued with a general surgery residency in at stony brook in long island New York. I further my training by completing a fellowship in Plastic surgery in New York. upon completion move back home to El Paso Texas were i started my private practice were i am currently practicing
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
it definitely has not been a smooth road training in Mexico and transferring into the USA has its own challenges on its own, but I believe that most challenging factor was the financial aspect of it. and the fact that I had two children while in training and that on its own was challenging. And finally the practice aspect of it establishing clientel building your own office and ambulatory surgery center has its obstacles and challenges of its own.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am board certified in plastic surgeon which combines both science and art to fulfill patients goals and dreams. I am known for designing bodies with Vaser technology in combination with my artistic flare that i ad to my procedures. I specialize in full face breast body. what I am most proud of is that still being in the small town of El paso I have world renown rock band artist and international stars coming to our small town of El paso Texas for cosmetic surgery. what i feel sets me apart is that i listen to my patient and treat them as if they were my own family
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
my advice to those starting out is do not let anybody tell you or discourage you from what you want to do with your professional life. work hard get up every day to do what you love to-do and finally be consistent.
