Hi Kaitlyn. We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today. Can you start by introducing yourself?
My name is Kaitlyn! I am a fun and sociable lifestyle Portraits and wedding photographer based in San Antonio. My journey began in Japan actually! Living on an island was beautiful, and I wanted to capture all of it to remember forever. I began using my dad’s Nikon to capture moments and beautiful places around Okinawa, Japan. What started as a hobby soon became a full-fledged love for the creativity I could create with a camera. I branded myself my senior yr of high school, and after graduating from UTSA, I decided to kick start my business. Now, I take candid and fun-filled portraits for aspiring models, couples, maternity, and engagements. My future plans include destination wedding photography.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest hurdle I found was getting recognition from my clients. I would continuously have to contact models and clients alike to tag my page when posting my work, especially if it was free. This just takes away from any potential exposure artists can get, so remember to tag your photographer!

My business, 32 Points Photography, is meant to capture the most intimate moments with loved ones or a boss babe gallery for my models. I specialize in portraits with a warm tone and tend to shoot outdoors toward sundown. I fell in love with the neutral palette during my time at Uni and found the type of collections I wanted to deliver to those who wanted to book a photography session. I am proud of the style I have achieved through trial and error with certain edits and the time spent refining my skills for the best quality portraits. I currently offer a variety of portraits, from singles to small families, bridal and engagement to full-blown weddings, and from business headshots to corporate branding! How do you define success?
Success is defined as the achievement you recognize within yourself. It’s finding out your purpose, what you bring to the table, and how you thrive in that area. I always thought I had to be or do things a specific way. As I continued to grow in what I love, I feel success in every milestone. Additionally, the recognition and love I get from clients for my work fuel my passion to keep doing what I do best!
