Today we’d like to introduce you to John Howard.
Hi John, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Everything started from the day I became a father. I wanted to capture memories of the milestones and adventures along the way.
Over time, I figured I’d share our adventures and memories with everyone via social media. In hopes to help families learn about new and fun things to do in and around San Antonio, especially those new to San Antonio. I learned about things to do from local influencers but realized that most were either single with no kids or older kids. So the things they considered exciting and fun, weren’t exciting and fun for a family with younger kiddos.
Sharing my content led to collaborations/partnerships with local brands/companies such as The Doseum, Visit San Antonio, and more! I was also able to produce content for Walmart, Huggies, and Gillette! This also led to me becoming more serious about being a photographer and digital creator. I’ve had the opportunity to capture family photos, city shots, exotic car shoots from San Antonio Cars and Coffee, murals from local street artists, and more.
I’m looking forward to sharing more and working with many more fellow Texans in and around San Antonio!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road is never smooth as a parent. There are always unexpected curveballs! The biggest struggle was having 2 of our kids admitted to the hospital for a week with respiratory issues. At one point it became so emotionally and physically draining that I just wanted to shut down but I knew I had to be strong for my family and we were able to get through it together.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a dad with a camera always looking to capture the fun and exciting family adventures to share with locals and tourists. I also love capturing moments for others whether it be family photos or an event! The candid genuine moments are the shots I love to capture in a frame!
Honestly, I’m most proud of my kids and that just sharing my family moments has led to so many connections and partnerships! Also, my 7 year old loves to take pictures and vlog as well. We bought him a camera and he always has it with him just like his dad (proud dad moment!).
Sharing the family aspect of our adventures and including tips such as what to expect with kids in our age range, discounts, and our experience during and after is what may set us apart from others. I also like to share our date night or day date spots without the kids because we all need a break at some point!
Not to mention my wife is a travel nurse and I’m in the Military!
