Hi Comedian Jay, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got my start being in talent shows, growing up in Indianapolis, while in elementary & was a “roaster” throughout middle and high school. I began my “stand-up” comedy journey in college. I got to where im at today by being talented, consistent, ambitious & highly relentless. I have a high comedy, entertainment “motor” thats always thinking and being creative.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I feel like when you are reaching high levels in this game you’ll face struggles that will test your mental fortitude and challenge you in ways that make you face adversity. The higher you go the more you endure.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a comedian in my heart with love but im also an actor, writer & influencer. I specialize in creating great content that bring an experience to the people. Im known for the hash tag “#wtfisurproblemb” & “respectfully ” that people can relate to. Im most proud of being on projects that have been on Tubi, & apart of comedy festivals & stage plays that let me know my hard work pays off. What sets me apart from others is wanting to see others succeed and humble enough to always think of others who deserve it..respectfully
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned along my journey is you cant take people on the same journey you’re on because you dont know what’s other peoples goals or passions are in the entertainment realm. Everyone doesn’t have the same vision as you, so moving accordingly the best way you see it, is always a better result. Know that others will fight tooth & nail to try to see you lose buts that’s only because they can’t match your greatness. Keep those close to you that you absolutely trust & can build with. Stay true to you and don’t change for anyone or anything…& always make sure the people love & embrace your movement…Respectfully
