Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam (adam The Shinobi) Soto
Hi Adam (Adam the Shinobi), please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am Adam the shinobi, rapper and producer out of San Antonio, Texas. I started making music in 2017 with the help of my friends. It was around this time we formed a group named “Akuma Klan”. We stylized in making music that had a blend of early 90s hip hop, but with a new day twist. We were very consistent, dropping a new song every week and as time went on we saw a following develop. Thru this time we were also developing a unique sound that blended early G-Funk and 90s cassette Memphis styled tracks that had a great reception in the Soundcloud scene.
As time passes and my friends were on to different endeavors, I decide in 2020 to take my work more seriously and go fully independent, dropping music Under the name “Adam the Shinobi”. Though it would be different going out on my own I knew my sound and I had the tools to build an audience. But what’s most important is that i have my consistency, which later on i realize that will take me far.
Fast foward to 2024, I have been able to make a nice little living with what I love to do, and I can thank my consistency and my passion of creating music. But mainly I thank my brothers who helped me along. Because those years of 2017-2020 were some of my favorite times in making music.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As an Independent Artist, it’s honestly never smooth. It’s really a “Roll with the Punches” kind of thing. Since I do things on my own I have deadlines and being as consistent as I have to can definitely be a little overwhelming. I care about the audience and I just want to give great music at a proper time.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am Adam the Shinobi. Rapper,Producer,DJ out of San Antonio who has over millions of streams thru various platforms.
What sets me apart from others is that I developed a sound and cadence that brings 90s Hip Hop fans and New day fans without having to lose authenticity.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I feel I haven’t really taken enough risk in my career as an Artist. I don’t see risk taking as a bad thing, as long as its a benefit that could help your future, not worsen it.
