Conversations with Tatiana Diaz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tatiana Diaz.

Hi Tatiana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been a witchy and a girly girl for as long as I can remember. Whether casting a full moon spell or getting dolled up for a night out, the rituals have always captivated me. I started reading tarot when I was 12 years old. After becoming a mother, I became a holistic healer. I became certified in several healing modalities, including hypnotherapy and reiki. It was something I had to do as a side gig. I worked 12-hour graveyard shifts in health care and was a single mom. It was rough, and I went through some horrible, toxic heartbreaks. Every emotional relationship trauma you can think of, I’ve been through. I’ve been cheated on, abused, divorced; you name it. Going through what I went through and healing myself made it easy on a spiritual level to hold space for others to heal. When I turned 40, I got remarried and went into esthetics. I wanted to do everything I could to feel beautiful and help others feel beautiful too. I got an esthetician license, learned permanent makeup, and opened Beauty Expressions in Seguin, Texas. I also opened Mystic Beauty Wellness online, where I create spiritual self-care products. One day, while walking with my husband, he told me I should incorporate my spiritual practice into my esthetician practice. He knows it has always been my passion and calling and is very supportive. When he said that, a huge beautiful butterfly landed on my heart. We were both thrilled and took it as a sign that I should go full force with it. I then took everything I learned over the last few decades and created energy-healing beauty rituals for my clients. It feels really good to provide a service that helps people feel beautiful on the outside and confident on the inside.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Going from the medical field to the beauty/tattoo industry in my 40s has been challenging. It’s a different world, and I am constantly learning and trying to catch up. Starting a business in a new city where no one knows you is also a challenge. You have to work hard and put yourself out there. I’m old school and a little shy, so being active on social media and creating content has been foreign to me as well.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in energy healing beauty rituals. I use professional-grade skincare products, facial massage, reiki, guided meditation, crystals, aromatherapy, and more to give you the ultimate Mystic Beauty experience. I feel it’s my calling to make others feel empowered. We are all beautiful and talented, regardless of what society and media might have told us. I have the gift of seeing the best in people and helping them to see it in themselves too. I truly love what I do and am grateful every day for it.

We love to hear about your fond memories from growing up.
Being born in California, I got to experience nature in its full glory. The big redwood trees, the Pacific Ocean, the snow up north, and the lush fields in the valley were all stunning! I also loved being immersed in different cultures and all the city vibes. I loved taking road trips with my family as a child. One of my fondest childhood memories was when my father and I drove the pacific highway and made pit stops at all the little beach towns.
