Today we’d like to introduce you to Lambo Warren
Hi Lambo, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Lambo Warren is a rapper, songwriter, actor, entrepreneur and podcaster based out of San Antonio, Texas. He first gained recognition with his debut project titled “Eff Lil’ Aubrey” under the name Lil’ Aubrey. You can hear his passion for storytelling on “The Story” a song about him being sick at birth which he wrote at the age of 14 and was released on his Eff Lil’ Aubrey. He also strikes a nerve and gets deep in songs like “Policing” which he touches on police brutality, but it’s when he makes master pieces such as “Nothin Sweeter Than a Swisher”, “Langage De L’amour” and “Meant to be Kings” just to name a few that really pulls the listener in. Rapping since the age of 9 and recording since the age of 12, it was his cousin Preston who introduced him to hip hop after coming to Texas from New York for a visit. Fast forward to 2016, he releases his first mixtape aimed towards his female fans titled “Thongs, Boyshorts, & G-Strings”. 2018 arrives and Lambo releases his best project yet titled “Higgs Boson” this album is sentimental to him because this was the album that he actually received the fruits of his labor and seen his hard-work, expertise, dedication and patience pay off, he received “Best Album Release” from Insanely Gifted Radio in Austin, TX, a few months later in the same year he receives the “Best Independent Hip Hop Artist” award at the Independent Music Awards in Topeka, KS. He’s currently in the studio working on new material while looking forward to the future.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth ride. People only see the wins however for every 1 wins I’ve experienced 3 losses. When trying to reach success it’s always trial and error, the only way to really figure it out is to go through the motions stay consistent and don’t give up.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a full time rapper part time actor and me and my best friend run a pool company together. I also engineer and assist other artists with their publishing. What sets me apart is I tend to try 100 different things at once for better odds, the way I see it I have a better chance at hitting a stop sign pole with a hand full of rocks instead of one or two rocks.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
The advice I’d give for finding a mentor or networking is to be open to new ideas but also have a goal you’d like to reach rather it be financially, mentally, socially etc.
