Conversations with Jonathan Rios

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Rios.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We started Country and Family in 2017. It was at first it was 8 friends who loved dancing and were close like family.

We got introduced to the COMPETITION world shortly after starting our dance journey and completely fell in love.

Now going on 5 years we are all over San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Corpus Christi, El Paso Texas, and Tulsa, New Mexico. We also have two sponsors that help us very much Rough Hand Brand (Roughhandbrand.com) and Indios Boots (Indiosboots.com). We are a traveling dance family we compete and perform all around the country and love to shoot dance videos for Tiktok and YouTube Dancing is a hobby that is the best getaway cause it can be done anywhere (Just have to dance like no one watching).

To this day, we offer dance classes for all levels of dance also along with Weddings Quinceañera Sweet 16s and much more. We want to see everyone as happy as we are on the dance floor.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a struggle for the past 5 years. When we first started there was only 1 group the Aggie Wranglers. So we got so much hate for being a group of friends who turn family that just loved to dance. Over the years, it got easier to handle but it’s never gonna be smooth so we just express how we feel through dance and competition!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We offer dance classes for all ages and levels of dance and for any occasion weddings, birthdays, company, etc.

We are known for dancing the night away under the neon lights with our favorite partners. We love making dancing videos for everyone to watch and learn via Tiktok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

Winning knowing our hard work paid off knowing what we are doing is not for nothing that’s what makes up proud!

What sets us apart from others is we are a real family we got each other backs physically emotionally and mentally cause a lot of our members don’t have homes or families so we got to do what’s best for some people.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Respect! Respect it’s stronger than money and love in this game.
