Hi CHRYSALIA, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
From the electrifying echoes of childhood dreams to the vibrant stage of professional artistry, my journey as a metal vocalist has been a testament to passion ignited. Immersed from a young age in the powerful sounds of rock and metal, I envisioned a future where my voice would resonate with the same intensity that captivated me as a child. Singing was more than a hobby; it was a profound emotional outlet, a constant companion through every challenge, and the driving force behind my aspirations. This unwavering dedication culminated in my official debut as a metal singer in 2024.
My artistic journey began at Delta H Con, where I debuted as a cover artist, paying homage to popular visual kei songs. This initial foray quickly evolved into the creation of my own original music. My debut single, “CRIMSON PROMISE,” was released on December 25th, 2024, followed swiftly by my second single, “ONE,” on February 5th, 2025. I am thrilled to announce my upcoming album release on May 25th, 2025, and I am already deep in the creative process for my second album.
Though my professional career is just beginning, the strides made in such a short time are incredibly inspiring. I am profoundly grateful for my dedicated fanbase, affectionately known as my CHRYSTALS. Their unwavering support and belief in my music are the true catalysts for my progress, pushing me forward and shaping the artist I am becoming.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve learned that true resilience is forged in overcoming our most personal battles. Early diagnoses of anxiety and depression presented a unique path, particularly impacting my confidence in high-pressure situations like performing. Yet, armed with the tools of therapy and the support of medication, I’ve steadily dismantled these internal barriers. What once felt insurmountable has become my greatest inspiration: performance is now the vibrant canvas for my true self.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Performance has been a transformative force in my life, shifting my perspective from an introspective nature to one driven by meaningful engagement. The opportunity to connect with diverse individuals at meet-and-greets, and to experience the powerful chorus of voices singing my songs, has become the most rewarding aspect of my work. It’s in these exchanges that I find profound purpose and inspiration.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
As a dedicated metal and Visual Kei vocalist, I often encounter surprise when audiences discover my deep appreciation for K-Pop. While the genres may seem disparate, K-Pop was a significant part of my formative years, shaping my musical sensibilities and igniting a passion that continues to thrive.
Though performing K-Pop for large crowds remains a personal frontier, I recently had the exhilarating opportunity to bridge this gap. I collaborated with fellow San Antonio artist, Mochi Cosplays, for a special performance at Mochifest 2025. Delivering a powerful rendition of 2NE1’s “I Am The Best” was an incredibly rewarding experience, showcasing the diverse facets of my artistic expression. This collaboration was a testament to the idea that music transcends categorization, allowing artists to explore and celebrate a wide spectrum of sounds.
