Founded in 2020, amidst the global pandemic, Vulgar emerged with a clear mission: to elevate and celebrate local music in San Antonio. As a collective of friends bound by a shared passion for music, we recognized an opportunity to bring something unique to the city’s vibrant but often underrepresented music scene.
Our label was born out of a desire to connect local artists with a broader audience, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents and gain recognition. What sets us apart is our deep-rooted friendship and common musical interests, which drive our vision and approach. This bond allows us to foster an environment where creativity thrives, and where local talent can flourish outside the traditional confines of the industry.

Limited resources have affected various aspects of our operations, from artist promotion to production capabilities.
However, these obstacles have only strengthened our resolve. We continue to seek innovative ways to overcome these financial barriers and remain committed to supporting local talent. Our determination to provide a platform for San Antonio’s artists remains unwavering, and we are exploring new strategies and partnerships to ensure our growth and success in the future.

Building a label from the ground up requires more than just effort; it demands a long-term vision and a steady commitment to the process.
