Hi Laurissa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my journey long before I ever thought of becoming a coach, a creator, or a voice for healing. My life has been shaped by moments of deep faith, loss, resilience, and a desire to help people rise above what was meant to break them. From childhood, I carried a sensitivity to God’s presence and the struggles around me. Even when I didn’t have the words for it, I knew I was being shaped for something bigger.
As I grew older, I faced seasons that tested every part of me — emotionally, financially, spiritually, and personally. Grief, starting over, navigating survival, and trying to build a life with purpose forced me to discover my own strength piece by piece. But every challenge became part of the message I now share with others: that transformation is possible, healing is real, and no story is too messy to turn into something meaningful.
My business was born from that truth. I realized that people were drawn to me because I could see them — their struggles, their gifts, and their potential — even when they couldn’t. That’s how my coaching, writing, music, and community-building began to grow. I wanted to create spaces where people feel supported, uplifted, and reminded of their worth. Whether through my “Sista Circle,” my one-on-one clarity sessions, my spiritual reflections, or the anthems I write as Lady Reese, everything I do comes back to helping people gain confidence, break cycles, and step into the truth of who they are.
Today, I’m still on my own journey — learning, evolving, and trusting God through every step. But I’m grateful for where I am, because it allows me to serve others with authenticity, compassion, and real experience. My story isn’t about being perfect or having an easy path. It’s about rising, rebuilding, and using my voice to remind others that they can rise too.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has definitely not been smooth. My journey has been shaped by obstacles that forced me to grow stronger, trust deeper, and keep rebuilding even when life felt overwhelming. I’ve faced seasons of financial instability, loss, and emotional exhaustion while still trying to show up for others. There were times when I felt like I was carrying the weight of the world on my back, trying to survive systems that weren’t designed to support me.
I’ve also had to navigate grief, spiritual transitions, and moments where I felt unseen or unsupported by people I once considered friends. Balancing real-life responsibilities with the desire to build a meaningful business required sacrifices, resilience, and a lot of faith. Nothing about my story has been easy, but each challenge pushed me closer to my purpose. Those struggles taught me compassion, strength, and how to guide others through their own storms.

Love and Boundaries Coaching is a heart-centered space dedicated to helping people reclaim their confidence, protect their peace, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. My work is rooted in real-life experience, emotional honesty, and spiritual wisdom. I guide clients through clarity, healing, and self-discovery so they can stop shrinking, stop settling, and start living from a place of worthiness.
I specialize in helping individuals who feel overwhelmed, overlooked, or emotionally drained learn how to set boundaries, rebuild their identity, and navigate love without losing themselves.
