Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathleen Banse.
Hi Kathleen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My first career was in the car business; I spent 20 years at Batchelor Cadillac and loved selling cars and dealing with the clientele. When the opportunity presented to be a State Farm Agent in the rural town just north of San Antonio, I took the plunge and have no regrets. Bulverde/Spring Branch is now our home and we love the community.
Along with my 5 team members, we enjoy helping customers make educated decisions about their coverages and have a passion for helping our “good neighbors”.
The Agency delivery system is all about relationships!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Becoming a business owner as a second career presented challenges. I was comfortable in a sales position however hiring staff or managing a small business were outside of my swim lane. The last 20 years has been an education!!!

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I am 6 feet tall and have 2 daughters; one played collegiate and professional volleyball and is an ICU Trauma Charge Nurse, the other is an attorney specializing in oil and gas contracts. I have 5 grandchildren and my husband, and I (of 45 years) enjoy traveling!
