Today we’d like to introduce you to Cornelius Turner
Cornelius, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Cornelius “Mr. Come On Somebody” Turner. I’m an International Fitness Concert Host, International Twerk Coach, and Group Fitness Instructor. I was named Mr. Come On Somebody by my students in Atlanta. I would often use the phrase Come On Somebody in class to the point that my students would start saying it as well. One day they walked up to me and said you’re Mr. Come On Somebody and it has stuck with me ever since. For me “Come On Somebody” comes from Church. When the Pastor says a good Word, the Church would respond with Come On Somebody! God has blessed me with a dance fitness ministry in which I help individuals tap into their inner confidence, help them learn to love the person in the mirror, and help them see the beautiful star they truly are. I host my Twerk & Confidence Workshops at dance studios, night clubs, and at international resorts in various countries. I also teach Zumba classes locally at Crunch Fitness (Woodlake and San Pedro). In addition, I am the host of a international experience called The Mr. Come On Somebody Takeover. Over the past 4 years, close to 200 fitness enthusiasts and their families/ friends have traveled with me abroad to various countries including the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Jamaica to stay at all inclusive resorts, participate in my Grand Fitness Concert, and have a memorable vacation experience. How did the Takeovers start? One day, I was sitting at home and God gave me a vision of me presenting dance fitness out of the country. That vision lit a fire in my belly and I knew without a shadow of a doubt that it would happen! Years before the Takeovers came into existence, I remember constantly telling my best friend, Izzy, about this vision and how passionate I was about it happening. On December 31, 2020, I decided to take a virtual confidence building workshop that was hosted by Rachel Villafuerte. Rachel advised us that we have to manifest what we want for our future, put a time stamp on it, and post it on Facebook. So I did just that. On that day, I posted “I will be an International Fitness Presenter by October 2021!#ComeOnSomebody.” A week or so later, April Brown, who is now my travel agent of 5 years and owner of A Brown Travel Services LLC, reached out to me about taking my platform international and I immediately recognized this a a sign from God. Through our partnership, we designed the Mr. Come On Somebody Takeover!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When it comes to obstacles and challenges for the Mr. Come On Somebody Takeover, I had to learn to move out of my own way and be patient. God gave me a vision 5 years before the Takeover came into existence. Looking back now, I’m so glad God made me wait for his blessing because I was not prepared when I first received the vision. I needed to be groomed, needed more education in business and fitness, and I needed to learn to have more patience with people. Trust me, God’s time is the best time to be on because he can see far beyond our natural eyes! So remember to be patient and trust God’s timing! Come On Somebody!

The Mr. Come On Somebody Takeover includes a 5 day and 4 night stay at an all inclusive resort, unlimited food/ alcohol, access to our VIP parties, group excursions, my Twerk & Confidence Workshop, the Grand Fitness Concert, and so much more! It’s truly a fitness experience of a lifetime and I’m so excited to be hosting it for a 5th year. The upcoming Takeover convenes October 9th-13th 2025 in Los Cabo. The Takeovers are truly anointed by God and I’ve heard so many great testimonials from travelers experiences. There have been so many people that have advised me that they received spiritual healing from the experience. Some have suggested that the experience saved their marriage. Others have stated that it gave them the confidence to finally get their passport and travel the world.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson that I’ve learned is to believe in yourself. Your dream may seem impossible to achieve but it’s important to believe that you can achieve it with the help of God. I now have a “Why not Me?” attitude towards life. There’s no reason you can’t win because winning is engraved in your DNA! Come On Somebody!
