Community Highlights: Meet Ana Reyes of Piñata Time

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Reyes.

Hi Ana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We are women own and operated business that opens its doors about 9 years ago. My family and I had a similar business in Mexico, and around 2013 we decided to expand to San Antonio.

After seeing the type of piñatas that were available here, my sister and I notice that no one did what we do. There was a whole in the market and our business filled it perfectly.

That’s when we decided to open our first location, and we’ve been very successful since then.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Well like every new business the first years are never easy, especially when you are introducing a new product into an existing market.

Our piñatas are of a quality and detail that San Antonio didn’t have but the community has been receptive and after trying our products they have become very loyal.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Piñata Time?
We are a party store, that specializes in creating the perfect piñata for a wonderful party. We carry everything you would need for a party, from party supplies, candy, piñatas, etc.

However what sets us apart from the rest is our custom orders, we are able to turn your vision, drawing, or idea into a perfectly crafted piñata. From your kid’s imaginary friend to their favorite cartoon we make them all.

I would say we are the proudest of our dedication, our team truly wants our customers to have the best party they can. We like to think that our work is not just a piñata, they are memory.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
We hope that over the next 5-10 years our business is forced to expand even more.

We would like to have more stores around San Antonio and its surrounding areas. and to be able to bring this wonderful tradition to many other Texans.

Pricing:

  • We have piñatas from $5 up to $170.
