Community Highlights: Meet Amanda Bernal of Peace By Piece Home Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Bernal.

Hi Amanda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Absolutely! Thank you so much for your this opportunity. My journey began by “climbing the ladder” in corporate America but upon receiving the Lord’s leading to leave the workforce, I pursued another path, which was my primary mission of motherhood, I became a stay-at-home mom and began home educating my children.

To be successful during this chapter of my life, it was essential to utilize my time, money and space wisely! I began exercising my productivity and organizing “muscles”!

I began organizing for friends and family.

Then to make a little extra for our growing family, I started a little side hustle cleaning houses. When two clients asked if I could help them with organizing, my passion was realized and this business was born!

It was an epiphany to learn that I could start a lucrative Professional Organizing company encouraging and genuinely helping people in a practical way.

I enjoy offering a fresh perspective on how to approach my clients’ “puzzles” (every organizing project is a puzzle) and I absolutely love dramatic transformations (who doesn’t?). However, the priceless element of what we do at Peace By Piece Home Services is that we quite literally transform lives.

When the kitchen table is cleared allowing the family to gather for meals and quality time together around the table, that is transformation. When clutter is eliminated (and with it stress and anxiety), the peaceful space that remains translates to physical and emotional transformation.

Our clients’ countenances’ (and their online reviews) say it all! We transform lives by organizing spaces.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Great question! For me, it has been a learning curve because I don’t have a business background which has necessitated investing in education!

Thankfully, I have been growing “slow and steady” (the best way to grow) AND I love learning! I have had some hard challenges in business relationships which I feel have ultimately resulted in great personal growth that would not have otherwise happened.

When working with people, there is always potential obstacles. My source of strength and wisdom in adversity and really on a daily is Christ Jesus. He is SO good!

As you know, we’re big fans of Peace By Piece Home Services, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Peace By Piece Home Services is known for being the top-rated, elite home organizing service provider in Helotes, Boerne, and NW San Antonio, TX.

The element that sets us apart is that we are a family of organizers that go “above and beyond” on every project because we authentically care about the people we serve and are committed to doing things with excellence! I am confident that the divine favor of God is upon all that we do and I believe that translates.

Additionally, we begin by creating a custom-curated “Organizing Action Plan.” It is critical to have a clear plan to efficiently accomplish any project.

For the readers wondering what a Professional Organizer does, we basically, do whatever is needed to reclaim space: declutter, pack, rearrange furniture, shop for bins, organize closets and pantries, coordinate scheduling other service providers when needed like movers or cleaners, haul donations to the donation station, fold or hang clothing, color-code craft ribbon, set up a filing system or organize entire playrooms. We do it all and more!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
By far my best childhood memory is actually a cluster of memories formulated over the many summers during my early formative years. Every year, my older sister and I traveled to “tiny town” Iowa to spend time with both sets of grandparents.

Our young lives were so enriched by bailing hay and gathering fresh produce from the garden, visiting our uncle’s equestrian ranch, walking “downtown” for shopping, or heading to the swimming pool with our “in-town” grandma.

We thought that every kid had grandparents like ours; fully invested and fun. As adults, with kids of our own, my sister and I now realize that we were incredibly blessed beyond measure with our relationships and in our experiences with our grandparents!
