Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Sikes.
Hi Samantha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Raising a kid with a disability and maintaining a normal day-to-day for her family required my mom to be extremely organized. Not only did it serve our family but it helped her manage all the chaos running through her head. As a little kid, I loved watching her work around our house and as an adult I still do.
She has a gift that she can share with others. I help with the social media part (not her thing) and I watch her bring joy to other people’s homes the way she did ours.
Organize2Order got started because my mom and I love being organized and decorating. We have done it to any apartment or house that we have lived in and to watch my mom organize with ease is amazing to me. We always wanted to do something like this together and since she is better at organizing, and I am better at the social media part, we thought why not give it a shot?
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a new business is always stressful…
How do we find clients? How do we advertise? What if we don’t succeed?
But being in a partnership is smooth. We have been working together in some sort of way my entire life. Sherrie is my person and I know we can’t quit!
I wouldn’t want to be in business with anyone else.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At ORGANIZED2ORDER we love to help people have a simple life by having an organized life. We want to help take the stress out of the mess. We also love decorating, and if we can help people have a decorative and organized home, well we’ve already been successful.
Organizing is a true passion for us. When we finish a job for a client that has been overwhelmed and to see the relief on their faces… says it all.
Being cluttered or unorganized can make a person feel guilty, lazy, and stressed- we are here to help! We help our clients one step at a time
Networking and finding a mentor can have a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Since we are new to this scene I would say even if it’s hard and you feel like you want to give up don’t because one day someone will give you a chance and you’ve got to be grateful for chances because one day you will make it and you’ll be thankful for everything that came in your way. One like or share is a door that’s opening. We just got to keep thinking that every time you post the opportunity for business.
Find your passion. When you love what you do it does not work. Keep trying new avenues to make your passion work for you. One like or share is a door that’s opening. We just gotta keep thinking that every time you post the opportunity for business.
