Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcello Perez.
Hi Marcello, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I’ve been a nurse for 20 years but was never satisfied with my hired photographers, videographers, website, or digital marketers I would new to market my medical office businesses. I then decided to dabble in photography and then videography and then editing. I then combined both with website design and social media marketing. Eventually, I started to use each skill to create a digital marketing and video production company. I started with pro bono jobs to get some experience and good reviews. This was investment of my time but I believed people were tired of the low quality work that now floods this industry.
After a while, I started to buy more and more professional equipment and hire contracted people who were able to complement my vision. Larger and larger accounts then started hiring me because I believe in personal attention and quality work. GOD has been my biggest inspiration and I thank him each day for his blessings for me and my family.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No. My most difficult challenge was to rely on others for their part. We are filled with laziness and a mindset of just hurrying up with projects. I’ve had so many people complain about those in my industry that they found it hard to believe that I can actually deliver what they want and need to build their business and brags it appropriately. I prefer to show my clients analytics and proof that what I do is stable but increases brand awareness without false promises like other companies.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
One of the comments that my clients tell me is about my creativity. I think outside the box because I know the attention span of a person on social media is fast. For this, I create video productions and websites that are creative and eye-catching. To be successful now a days, you have to be superior but yet deliver something that’s different and unique. Our video production work goes back to the mind set of quality of work and placing the customer first with their vision.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
All my foundation. Learning has come from great YouTube entrepreneurs like peter McKinnon and Sam Kolder. They’ve inspired me to believe in myself and accept that failure is not part of my vocabulary. I spent many sleepless nights learning and watching techniques and then creating my own. My biggest thanks though goes to the GOD above and my church and their staff at CBC. With good spiritual support and Jesus, there is nothing I can’t accomplish.
