Check Out Madalyn Harr’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madalyn Harr

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started blogging on My Life as Madalyn in 2015 where I talked about my faith and lifestyle content. In 2018, I started an online Christian boutique named Adorned With Delight where I sold Christian gifts, apparel, jewelry, and more. Around that same time, I started designing products including graphic apparel designs, digital portraits, and a 90-day digital Christian living journal called the Abide Daily Journal.

In 2020, I started Madalyn Dobbs Photography (now Madalyn Harr Photography) which specializes in portrait, family, grad, event photography, and more. I also grew Adorned With Delight and participated in a growing collection of blog collaborations.

In 2023, I started the marketing agency M Creative Co. where I provide design, marketing, and virtual assistant services to small businesses nationwide.

Currently, I am expanding my marketing and photography businesses, and blogging when I find the time. Even though my creative projects have changed and expanded over the years, I have always and continue to enjoy the creative freedom and collaboration they provide.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been challenges starting my businesses and I expect more in the future. They are all learning processes and I am constantly reevaluating based on my expanded knowledge and experience.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I currently specialize in portrait, family, grad, event, and wedding photography as well as design, marketing, and virtual assistance. I especially like how I can combine these two industries to provide a more complete service package to my clients.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
It doesn’t hurt to try. Starting something new is always a risk and it might not immediately go according to plan, but there is always something to learn in the process.
