Check Out Kristina Zachary’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Zachary.

Hi Kristina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story really began with a commitment to intentionality. I didn’t want to just be another Realtor in San Antonio; I wanted to redefine what it meant to help people find “home.” I started with the belief that a living space should be a sanctuary, and that philosophy has guided every step of my career.

As I grew, I realized that to truly serve my clients and lead a high-performing team, I needed to blend that creative vision with rigorous discipline. That’s where The Zachary Team was born. My husband, Gabriel, and I lean into our “Dynamic Duo” energy to run the business, but we don’t just wing it. We utilize the “Voice of Won” techniques to ensure our KPIs are met and every detail is tracked heavily. This balance of heart and data-driven strategy is how we’ve managed to scale while keeping our service deeply personal.

Lately, I’ve been navigating a major pivot from being a traditional salesperson to becoming a Media Entity and lifestyle curator. I’m passionate about sharing the “Sanctuary Vibes” lifestyle—whether that’s through high-level real estate transactions, organizing major community events like our upcoming Crawfish Boil Festival, or even how I curate my own life, from my fitness routine to my collection of over 100 fragrances.

Today, I’m right where I want to be: leading a team that values excellence, staying grounded in my family, and building a brand that inspires people to live with as much intention as they do ambition.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth? Honestly, if it were a smooth road, I’d probably be bored! It’s definitely been more of a “grit and grace” journey than a straight line.

One of the biggest hurdles was the internal shift I’m still navigating—moving from the mindset of a traditional real estate salesperson to seeing myself as a Media Entity. It’s a massive pivot to stop just selling houses and start curating a lifestyle and a brand. That transition requires a lot of vulnerability and a different kind of “work” that isn’t always reflected in a closing statement.

On the operational side, leading The Zachary Team comes with its own set of challenges. Maintaining that “Sanctuary” energy for my clients while simultaneously being a heavy-hitting, data-driven leader is a constant balancing act. I’ve had to be incredibly disciplined with my “Voice of Won” techniques—tracking KPIs and staying on top of the numbers—because when you’re building something this big, you can’t just rely on good vibes. You need the systems to back them up.

There’s also the reality of being part of a “Dynamic Duo.” Working so closely with Gabriel is one of my greatest strengths, but learning how to navigate the tension between business logic and personal life is a skill we’ve had to sharpen over time. Factor in the intentionality I want to bring to my kids and my own creative outlets, and yeah, some days feel like I’m spinning a hundred plates (and trying not to break my favorite perfume bottles in the process).

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the heart of it, I’m a Realtor and the leader of The Zachary Team here in San Antonio. But if you ask me what I actually do, I’d say I help people find their “Sanctuary.” I’ve always believed that a home should be more than just a place to sleep—it should be a curated space that supports the life you’re trying to build.

I’m probably best known for a few things:

The “Dynamic Duo” Approach: My husband, Gabriel, and I work closely together, and I think people really resonate with the partnership and energy we bring to the table.

A Focus on the “Why”: Whether it’s through the community events we host (like our upcoming Crawfish Boil Festival!) or the way we handle a listing, I’m always looking for the intentionality behind the move.

Being “Organized with Heart”: While I love the creative side of life like my perfume collection or my art projects—I’m also very diligent about the business side. We use “Voice of Won” techniques to make sure we’re hitting our goals and that nothing falls through the cracks for our clients.

I’m most proud of building a business that feels authentic to who I am. I’ve managed to create a successful team while still being present for my kids’ track meets and staying true to my own hobbies.

What sets me apart is that I’m a “both/and” person. I can handle the nitty gritty details of a contract and track the data to make sure a deal stays on course, but I can also walk into a room and talk about the “vibes” and how a space is going to feel for a family long-term. I don’t just want to help you buy a house; I want to help you curate a life you love.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is protecting my peace and being truly present for my family. For a long time, I think I defined success by how much I was doing, but lately, I’ve realized that my mental health and the atmosphere of my home are the real priorities. I’m big on “sanctuary vibes”—the idea that our living space should be a place where we can actually breathe and reset. If my home doesn’t feel like a palace of peace, it’s hard for me to show up as the best version of myself for my kids or my clients.

Being a mom is at the center of everything. Whether it’s being there for Landon’s track meets or just having those quiet weekends where we can actually disconnect, that time is non-negotiable for me. I’ve had to learn how to set boundaries in my work so that my career doesn’t swallow up the moments that my kids will actually remember. It’s not always easy in real estate, but I’ve found that when I’m mentally healthy and grounded, I’m actually much better at helping my clients find that same sense of stability for themselves.

I also really value having creative outlets that are just for me. Whether it’s picking out a specific scent from my fragrance collection to match my mood or getting lost in a creative project, those small acts of intentionality are how I stay sane. It’s about more than just business; it’s about curating a life where I feel like a whole person, not just someone checking off a to-do list. At the end of the day, I want to be known for the way I loved my people and the intentionality I brought to my life, rather than just the number of houses I sold.
