Today we’d like to introduce you to Kid G.
Kid, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started making music in my junior year of high school not taking it too seriously. Dropped a few singles on SoundCloud here and there and 2 mixtapes on Bandcamp in the span of a year.
After that year, I’d been on a hiatus and never really stepped back up to a microphone until my daughter was born; that’s when I started to learn more about the industry of it all.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. No road is ever smooth to something that is great.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I make music, mostly known for rap/hip-hop as that is all my catalog consist of currently. I’m most proud Of the amount of growth in the short amount of time I’ve been doing this.
I feel what can set me apart from others locally is I want to expand my genre. Not just be stuck to one. I’ve been working on a couple of things outside of rap but still need some fine-tuning.
