Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Perez-mcdonald

Hi Justin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started detailing cars as a sophomore in high school so since 2010. I was back and forth between jobs as a detailer working for different dealerships. Life then happed after I graduated in 2012 and I went to prison. I did 2 stints and ended up getting out and off parole in 2019. Through my time in prison I would always here about guys wanting to start there own business. It took me awhile to actually accomplish that goal of being able to afford running a business. I finally got my chance in May of 2024 and business has been good ever since. It has its ups and downs and of course you can’t please every customer but here at this company we try our best to accommodate every single customer and treat every customers vehicle as if it is my own.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course it hasn’t been easy. There was a time where I could barely afford supplies and material to complete jobs. As I’m a mobile company gas was a major key for getting me from point A to point B. I could barely afford that at times. Forsure, running a business and staying out of trouble being a father being a husband maintaining a household, all has its ups and downs, but ultimately at the end of the day it’s something that a man has to take responsibility and do his life and his families

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
So what I do is headlight Restoration basically when your headlights are hard to see out of invisibility isn’t clear, I go to your residence or your place of work and make them look brand new again. The process I use is a three step wet sand process followed by a buff, followed by polish and a choice between a compound clearcoat or a spray clearcoat, the prices vary. My companies name is Jay’s Headlight Restoration and I’m known for making headlights look brand new again keeping the city safe a set of headlights at a time. The thing that sets me apart from other Headlight Restoration companies is that I take pride in what I do as a business owner I take initiative to allow the customers to be involved in the restoration process. Customer service is big thing for this company as you are dealing with thousand dollar worth of Machines and expensive brands of vehicles
