Check Out Isaiah Traylor’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaiah Traylor.

Isaiah Traylor

Hi Isaiah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began playing the sport of basketball at the age of 6 years old in the small town of Tupelo, Mississippi. I started in a basketball training program similar to IT3 Training at 8. That program helped shape my basketball career and kickstarted my passion. I have been fortunate enough to take my basketball journey beyond Tupelo. I have traveled the world, played professionally, and created many awesome relationships. My journey was no walk in the park, but I have been thankful for the places it has taken me thus far. I am still working on writing my story. Creating IT3 Training and playing a part in shaping the youth’s passion for the same sport I have fallen in love with has been a beautiful full-circle life event for me. I want to continue impacting the basketball world and changing the game for the better.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
I have faced adversity throughout every step of my basketball journey. It truly began when I didn’t make my 8th-grade basketball team. From then on, I chose to turn my pain into passion no matter what trials I faced. My collegiate career was no smooth ride either; I went through many changes with the sport, both emotionally and physically. From troubled teammates to corrupt coaching staff and the process of becoming a child to a man all played a role in my bumpy ride. Even still, my professional career playing for KB Rahoveci and BC Batumi was also an adverse journey. I have had knee injuries that resulted in surgery and a broken hand with irreversible damage. IT3 Training saved me because I can still maintain my relationship with the sport, all while guiding the youth in avoiding my mistakes.

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a youth/adult player development basketball trainer—for ages 7 and up. I alter my teachings to each player and find what works best for their development. There is no greater feeling than watching someone you train accomplish so much progress throughout their sessions. I pride myself on my friendships with my clients and their families. My job allows me to wear many hats, and I strive to wear them well from being their coach, trainer, mentor, advocate, and friend.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check?
I watched my previous basketball film to perfect my craft via YouTube.
