Hi Breanne, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had a passion for creating and living a holistic, healthy lifestyle. That passion led me to take a closer look at the everyday products I was using—and what I found was disappointing. Even “natural” skincare brands often contained harmful chemicals and misleading claims. Frustrated by greenwashing, I began making my own body and skincare products at home, using clean, simple, and truly natural ingredients.
What began as a personal project quickly grew into a deeper mission. I spent years studying organic ingredients, herbalism, and global skincare traditions—from Ayurvedic oils in India to superfoods like Açaí and Camu Camu in South America. My love for travel and culture fueled my formulations, each inspired by nature and rooted in wellness.
In 2021, I began sharing my creations at farmers markets in San Antonio, where I found a supportive community that valued intentional, handmade skincare. Two years later, I opened my first storefront—and BB Body was born. Today, I continue to pour heart and purpose into everything I create, staying true to the mission of offering honest, effective, and nature-inspired skincare.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wish I could say the journey was a smooth one, but in reality, it has been far from that. I quickly immersed myself in the world of small business entrepreneurship, where I encountered a multitude of challenges, each demanding attention to detail, resilience, and perseverance. Building BB Body has required an immense amount of patience, dedication, ambition, love, and time.
Along the way, I’ve faced a variety of personal hardships, including balancing the demands of earning my Master’s in Nursing Science. However, I truly believe that these struggles have served to strengthen me—both as a person and as a business owner. The road has been tough, but every obstacle has taught me invaluable lessons and reinforced my commitment to this journey. While it hasn’t been easy, it has undoubtedly been worth every step.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
BB Body is a brand dedicated to creating organic, natural body care products that harness the powerful, healing properties of roses. I take pride in curating unique formulations, sourcing rare ingredients from around the world to craft products that are not only effective but also hard to find elsewhere. Each ingredient is carefully researched, and every product is designed to address skin concerns in the most natural and gentle way possible. Catering to both men and women, our formulations are thoughtfully created to provide effective, natural solutions for a wide range of skin concerns.
Roses are at the heart of my brand, chosen for their exceptional skin benefits, including hydration, anti-inflammatory properties, and anti-aging effects. Each of my products is specially formulated with a distinct variety of rose to target specific skin needs.
At BB Body, I am committed to making natural skincare both accessible and affordable. What I’m most proud of is the journey of building this business from the ground up on my own, and the fact that every product I create is not only good for you but also reflects my dedication to quality and integrity.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I’m passionate about growing my brand and inspiring others to take the leap toward healing their skin through holistic and natural methods. Looking ahead, my goal is to continue developing effective, affordable products that address common skin concerns while empowering others to embrace a healthier lifestyle. I’m excited for what the future holds and the positive impact I hope to make.
