Hi Lamont “Monti”, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was raised in San Antonio and now call Boerne home. Basketball at Clark High School and later in college gave me the foundation of discipline and teamwork that shaped who I am today. After college, I built a successful career in the automotive industry starting in 2007, moving into management with brands like Audi, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz. In 2021, I walked away from that six-figure career to start Texas Mobile Lawn Care with just a van and a vision. The first year was challenging, but I stayed committed, and today the company serves more than 200 customers with multiple crews and professional systems. For me, this journey is about more than lawn care it’s about building a legacy, providing for my kids, and proving that with perseverance, you can create something lasting.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I started without investors, every dollar was on me while managing family responsibilities. I had to master pricing, cash flow, marketing, and hiring on the fly, all while fixing equipment and keeping crews reliable. Texas droughts and restrictions forced me to pivot services and schedules. The result: stronger systems, a tougher mindset, and a business that keeps moving forward.

I run Texas Mobile Lawn Care, serving loyal customers throughout Boerne and the greater San Antonio area. We specialize in lawn maintenance, trimming, mulching, and seasonal services. What we’re most known for is professionalism and reliability- showing up consistently, delivering quality results, and making the process simple for our customers.
What I’m most proud of is building this business from the ground up. With no financial backing, I had to rely on focus, discipline, and consistency to get it off the ground and keep it moving forward. The secret sauce has been staying focused despite obstacles and being resilient when challenges come up.
What sets me apart is that I treat lawn care like a true professional service, not just a side job. I’ve built systems, structure, and a culture of accountability, while still keeping a personal touch with every client we serve.

Something surprising that many people don’t know about me is that before lawn care, I built a career in the automotive industry, managing luxury dealerships like Audi, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz. On the surface, it might seem like a huge leap to go from luxury cars to cutting grass, but both careers demanded discipline, customer service, and high standards. What surprises people most is that I willingly walked away from a comfortable six-figure career to start over with just a van, a mower, and a vision. That decision felt risky at the time, but it’s what gave me the freedom to build something lasting on my own terms.
