Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenny Lindsey.
Hi Kenny, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Started by going to events and parties and thinking to myself that I can do that too! I went to a couple of bad events in vegas, where they had a shit ton of people there but the music was terrible…at that point, I started teaching myself how to DJ. Then I started working my way from the bars to the clubs with help from places like the Basement, Burnhouse, Lush (now known as DZIR) that helped build my brand and name
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely didn’t start of smooth, very irritating learning how to DJ at first but once you get good at it, it’s muscle memory! Also, the business aside of DJing can for sure be tricky if you don’t fully understand the game
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
DJ Henny K, known for just being a chill but live guy, before I started DJing I was the guy at house parties standing on counters and tables and being live and it translated into how I DJ, everything is about energy. Being able to be a versatile DJ with great Mic skills puts me in my own category
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Being consistent, providing good vibes consistently
