Hi 448 Mizo, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I started writing down lyrics around 7 years old. My older sister was going through some stuff and she was writing poems and it inspired me to write about my life and what I’m feeling and going through. I always rapped and wrote raps and would want to take it seriously but end up just prioritizing getting the money first and end up stopping. Crazy cause I always rapped also to explain what I’m going through cause when I tell people, I felt like they never listened so even if I had no success with this music I’d still be doing it as much as I do it now. It’s therapeutic for me.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Ain’t has always been smooth, I was a troubled child. I caught my first case when I was 14 for protecting myself, it was a felony assault dropped to a misdemeanor. And that started a trend of me going in and out of juvenile and giving my mama hell. Ended up having my first son at 17 and at the time was a third year freshman. Manned up though and graduated even when everybody thought I wasn’t. I was introduced to drugs early in my life that ended up with me having a full-blown problem at 19. It took looking my son in his face and going cold turkey that helped me get off them for good when I was around 22. And at that time I wasn’t just taking care of my son but my niece and nephew too because my older sister was in the same fight I was but even worse. She is great now though!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an independent artist based out of San Antonio, TX. I specialize in making good music. I’m proud of the time I’ve put in into being an artist and turning this to a way of living. I have big expectations so there’s not to much I’ve done recently that I’d brag on but I know I’m heading the right direction. What sets me apart is how personable I am with my audience, I make sure to have a message that’s relatable with who I’m talking too. And the sound my sound too, I don’t know anybody that sounds like me in the city!
What’s next?
Right now I’m shooting to do more out of town/state shows. I don’t got too much planned right now I run and gun everyday, I just try my best to align myself with my blessings.
