Life & Work with Kevin Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Brown.

Hi Kevin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started Audio/Visual work at the beginning of high school, taking classes and studying all aspects of photography and videography. In my second year, I started participating in film festivals my school entered, in which we won awards the three times we joined. During the last two festivals, I played a large role by being both the visual director and graphic designer.

During school, I had the opportunity to work with a local photographer in my town. I produced videos for weddings, sweet 16s, and all kinds of events. Once high school ended, I branched away and started freelancing on my own with events, photo/video shoots, making music, and creating T-Shirts. In 2021, I created my own media arts company, God Rich Arts.

At first, business was slow, but over time I began to receive a lot of great opportunities including working with local rock bands, dog owners, personal chefs, and families, and getting to know all of the lovely people in San Antonio. I love what I do and I love getting to see the many bright faces that appreciate my work.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There isn’t a smooth road to anything in life but the goal should be to never give up, no matter what the situation may be. I have been in situations where I’ve lost huge portions of my photos, where the client isn’t happy with the final result, or where I’ve forgotten equipment for an important shoot.

It happens, and the way I dealt with them is by never giving up. Communicating, starting over when necessary, having to run across town, and anything that can go wrong all become learning experiences, building knowledge to take with me into the future.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a multimedia creator. I specialize in and am known for my photography, but I also create videos, graphics, and music. I am most proud of my photography because I’ve been able to capture some of the most important moments in people’s lives.

What sets me apart from others is my patience, process, and my determination to give every single one of my clients the best possible service and products I could.

What matters most to you? Why?
My clients, the people I get to work with. They matter most because they allow me to be where I am today. I will always be grateful to work with anyone, no matter how little or big the job is.
