Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Gutierrez.
Hi Christian, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I originally started my journey working at my friends shop “Hazel Sky” for about 7 years out of high school and that is what started my interests in cigars and picked up on the sales of them. I then started working for my dad’s construction company, loved the hard work part of it, really taught me what blue collar work was really like and showed me how to really work hard. I then was told about an opening of a building here and thought about my cigar lounge idea and was able to get blessed with getting approved to lease the spot and went from there, the rest was history and so far so good.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Most definitely of struggles and obstacles, I underestimated the remodeling of the shop, the costs, the licensing was a big hit and long wait til we got all of them, especially the liquor license. A lot of blood, sweat and tears came into play when it came to starting. Also, as soon as I began this journey, I came across another journey which was cancer, and that was another difficulty and set back but many prayers, and blessings have helped me so far overcome that obstacle and able to continue my journey!

Lone Star Cigar Lounge is a place where people can come in relax, work, and enjoy meeting others while have a cigar, a drink and or both! My priority here is the customer service, I want people to feel at home, and welcomed every time they come in. I have many great customers that became family as soon as they stopped in, many friendships have been made and many more to come as we continue. I am most proud of the way we have came together as a family and created something great! I love being able to live a dream with the support of my family and friends. A true blessing

My plans are continue to grow and continue to give a place of comfortability and joy,
