Hi 27 Alone, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Yo, what’s up my name is Nicholas Cade Sala aka 27Alone I’m a 17-year -old artist from New Braunfels Texas making my city known been on Hot97, HipHopDx got discovered by lil baby at 15 after he heard me on Hot97 got co-signed to Famous Dex And did a track with Dex I was originally born in Orange Tx. Since the young age of 6, I fell in love with the craft and the power of music, how it tells a story of someone’s life and hardship and how it tells the world’s problems. and how it connects people I was writing my lyrics without using beats or recording from the age of 6 to 9 years old when I turned 11 years old my dad gave me a big ultimatum stay in orange where you can still see your mom or move to new Braunfels and live with your grandparents. now life for nick at the time was gloomy and dreadful I could say its cause of my anger issues and my issues with authority at the time witch sucked cause I was in Catholic school or I could say its cause of my first 10 year old love that I had to leave or the one girl I f*cked around with at 11 who was my neighbor at the time and also my first kiss and is also the same girl that was able to get in my head were I invited her into my crib and she robbed my house crazy life at 11 yes i know but no the real reason I chose to move to new braunfels was cause I didn’t really have a mom she wasn’t there also had excuses to reasons she couldn’t visit or call and sooner or later I was tired of the bullshit so I moved to New Braunfels for the adventure now it obviously wasn’t everything i thought it was gonna be I still got in trouble but this time way more trouble I was a naïve white boy so I listened to anything anyone told me to so yes I smoked with way older kids, yes I broke into house, one time I was told to throw a Bolling ball in the hose window you better believe I chunked that ball with all 11 year old self i mean I even stole my grandma wedding ring and proposed in summer school to Grace Beers at the time I didn’t think that was bad until she told the principal and my own grandma called the cops on me to scare me now ill tell you I was scared to the point I didn’t want to do anything bad ever again now when I was in summer school I rapped my music to everyone on the bus making my name known before I even went to the high school. Eventually, I got into high school aka canyon high I went under many names OGnick, Conflict259,6lue6oys N.ZPlaybunny Nasty Nick. And when I was a junior I couldn’t hold my jobs I didn’t have the energy or motivation to keep them so I was looking for a job and my Homie Zach who is also an artist told me to work at a studio so I called up BabyRokkStudios and sooner or later I got close with them, we became a family I’ve made all my tracks there, I’ve done photo shoots there and I did my very first real concert there the owner BabyRokkBezzel helped me become who I am today without him I wouldn’t have signed to Empire Records, Souldoutdistribution, and more I can’t give all the credit to BabyRokk it was also done with the help and hard work of my manager Art Reyes since then we’ve made merch, made tracks, and more connections then possible.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
