Hi Tammy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
After many years in management (in retail and collision repair), I was so sick and so tired of corporate life. I literally dreamed of a day where I owned MY business, worked hard to make MY business successful and built an incredible empire based on MY dedication and MY commitment to succeed. I dreamt of all this, PLUS I held tight to my core desire to truly serve and build connections with people.
I also really wanted more time freedom (for my family and myself) and the ability to decide when and where my time was best spent. Although at the time I had no idea how much Real Estate would fulfill my ambitious dreams, I knew it was a start!
My Real Estate journey has been nothing short of incredible for me and for my family! It is by NO means as glamorous as Selling Sunset, it is stressful and requires serious commitment, dedication & perseverance, but it has been so rewarding for me and I’ve never looked back!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I don’t know that there is such a thing as a “smooth road” in Real Estate! The absolute biggest struggle for me was learning the lessons of owning your own business. Although there are tons of courses and classes you can take on how to be a better Realtor, there is no all-inclusive instruction manual.
From Day 1 of having your license, there are so many things to figure out:
Where do I find my clients?
Which brokerage is the best for me?
How do I write a contract, open a lockbox, or find a home value?
Who do I go to for questions?
How do I schedule my day?
How can I provide the absolute best experience for my clients?
These are just a few of the challenges-I that could go on forever!
It took me the first 2 years to really feel more comfortable and confident, but even to this day (almost six years later), I still have struggles and questions!
As you know, we’re big fans of your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The simple, traditional way to categorize my business is as a Real Estate Agent or Realtor. But there is so much more to my services and my business. I strive to provide a fun, personalized, and memorable experience for my clients that are trying to achieve their goals through home ownership.
Whether I am walking my homebuyers through the purchase of their very first home or providing my sellers with the most modern staging, marketing and pricing strategies to sell their homes for top dollar, each person that I help has a unique and personable experience.
I also have developed specialized strategies as a relocation specialist and Military Relocation Professional to best serve those that are moving to San Antonio from all over the country! San Antonio is not only Military City USA, but is also a hot destination city for people from other states (and even other cities in Texas)!
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Introverted is probably an understatement! I was very shy, and not super confident. But I had big dreams and knew I would figure out a way to make them come true.
Some of my favorite memories from growing up are the friendships that I had from being in a band. That truly created lifetime friends and memories (that we still talk about today)!
