Today we’d like to introduce you to Miriam Tisdale.
Hi Miriam, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Martha’s CatchAll is family owned and operated. Martha was my mom. I named the business in her memory. I’m the 12th child of 15. As you can imagine, that’s a lot of birthdays to celebrate. Fast forward to adulthood and we add weddings, anniversaries, graduations, and other celebrations. In 2011 I got talked into helping with the planning of one of my sister’s wedding anniversaries. In the span of 3 days I ended up planning and celebrating 2 graduations, a birthday, and the anniversary. Sitting back watching everyone enjoy those celebrations was a happy place for me. I enjoyed seeing those smiling faces. The event planning business opened in 2014. Once I retired from the Military, I reached for more. In 2021 I became a Notary and we began officiating weddings. Since then, we’ve incorporated customized t-shirts, glassware and shoe designs to give our customers a more personal experience. And we’re still growing! This year we launched an education-based pageant called Beautiful Minds. Everything we do carries one message: everyone deserves to be celebrated. Martha’s CatchAll isn’t just about products, it’s about people, memories, and meaning.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Marketing has been tricky; figuring out how to reach our audience and stand out among so many creative business has been a real challenge for us. As we’ve grown, we’ve had to learn to streamline production without losing our personal connection. We never want our customers to feel like just another business transaction.

We are best known for our meaningful but short wedding ceremonies (especially in the summer). We believe everyone deserves to be celebrated with heart, soul, and unforgettable experiences.
We recently opened Beautiful Minds Pageantry. It is a natural pageant that includes an education aspect. Our mission is to empower contestants through education, confidence, and self-expression.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that surprises people is that I’m actually very shy until you get me talking about designs or weddings. Designing and writing ceremony scripts gave me a voice I didn’t even know I had. Whether it’s a personalized shirt, a pageant, or a wedding, I want everyone to feel seen, valued, and celebrated. It’s not just business for me; It’s ministry through creativity.
