Today we’d like to introduce you to Celina Mendoza
Hi Celina , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was dental assistant for 20yrs and one day bought a coffee shop. Our small community of Somerset had only one coffee shop and it was about to close and we decided it needed to stay. April 2023 I receive a phone call from my husband that our only coffee shop in town was going to close and that I should inquire about taking over ownership. 1.5 year later here we are! We opened our doors as Somerset Coffeehaus May 8, 2023 and since then have envolved into so much more than just a coffee shop. It’s a welcoming spacing where coffee and community come together. We host monthly Markets with by dear friend Jackie Silva from Bonita Market and we have now gave our community of Somerset a place to shop small and local. The coffeehaus too host several small business vendors in the inside the shop that our customers can shop from. We also. The coffeehouse also now shares a space with our other dear friend Kelley from On the Spot Massage. So coffee, community, shop and therapeutic massages in one space what more can you ask for.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Small businesses will always have obstacles just like anything else. I believe we are where we are at because of our faith in our Heavenly Father we thrive because of him. I seek him daily on good and bad days. Like most other business you have your okay days and other days are great.

We are a small town community coffee shop with a welcoming space for all. We offer assortment of drinks for everyones taste. Hot/Cold Lattes, Frappes, Energy drinks, Matcha, Chai and many other options. We are known for our Pig in a blanket and our famous Haus Chicken Salad all made in Haus. Our coffee beans are locally roasted from a fellow women owned small business coffee shop-Kulture Kafe.

I don’t believe in luck but only in faith, hard work and determination
