Hi Danielle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always dreamed of being an entrepreneur and gave it so much thought, but never knew exactly what direction to follow. Until I started working at a massage therapy business as a receptionist. I watched and learned so much from the massage therapist working there. I asked many questions and decided being a massage therapist would be my calling. In what seemed like divine timing as soon as I finished my education as a massage therapist the opportunity to have my own space right in my community opened up. I have been delighted to serve my community through wellness and found massage to be my niche. I’m located on the east side of San Antonio where wellness and self care are lacking, and my goal is to bring awareness to my community about the importance of the above.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Any start up business comes with its challenges. Some of the challenges being bringing awareness of massage and its benefits to an area that has not been widely introduced. Starting a business with little to no financial support has also been a great challenge. However as time has moved on I found that one must continue the fight to become a successful entrepreneur.

At Healing Hands and Wellness Massage Therapy, our mission is to transform the perception of massage from a luxury to an essential part of holistic health and wellness. We are dedicated to providing a place of relaxation, where each session is designed to alleviate pain, promote healing, and educate our clients on the wonderful benefits of massage therapy. We strive to shift mindsets by demonstrating that massage is a vital component of comprehensive healthcare, accessible and beneficial for everyone, regardless of lifestyle. Our goal is to make high-quality massage therapy available to those who may have previously thought it beyond their reach, fostering a community where wellness is an attainable and integral part of everyday life.
Some of the services we offer are Swedish massage which is a service for any client of any age looking to relax and feel a soothing touch that may very well put you to sleep. The massage consists of light to deep pressure touch, using long strokes and kneading of the muscles. Swedish massage can also be used as a less intense method of pain management for sore muscles.
Deep Tissue is a service for a client who is experiencing chronic aches and pain from injury, or lifestyle that causes the body to stay in a tense state. Deep Tissue is using heavy pressure on the muscles to get directly to your problem areas and release tension, strain, and knots for lasting results. Can also be relaxing depending on the clients preferences.
Trigger Point Therapy is an intense service for a client who is experiencing chronic pain and needs a fast release of the muscles. By targeting specific points on the body and adding very deep pressure to the area, a radiating signal is sent to the muscles to release and relax. This service is not meant for relaxation but meant to provide results in long term pain management.
More in the realm of relaxation I offer facials, mud masks, green tea eye bags, and hot stones.
What I am most proud of is that 100% of my clients leave satisfied and feeling renewed. What I’m also proud of is staying motivated to learn more about how I can service the community through massage modalities.
