Hi, Michellle Didthat. We’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, can you briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey in the beauty industry began about 4 years ago. I was in nursing school and did a whole 360. My husband inspired me to get into hair, nails, and makeup. He always let me be girly, myself, and confident. He suggested I get into a field where I can still be girly confident and do things I love to do daily. I wanted to make people feel the way he makes me feel. I quickly fell in love with the art of hair, nails, and makeup and knew that I wanted to make a career out of it. After training and becoming a licensed stylist, I rented my suite for a year or so. After I felt ready, I decided to take the leap and open Didthathairandnailstudio. It was a challenging but enriching experience, and I built a loyal clientele and a reputation for quality service. Eventually, I realized I wanted to give back to the industry that had given me so much, so I opened a beauty school to help others achieve their dreams of becoming successful salon owners and stylists. It’s been an incredible journey, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s sad that some people will try to bring down others out of jealousy and spite. If you’re successful and thriving, there will always be those who are envious and want to see you fail. However, it’s important to remember that their negative actions reflect their insecurities and lack of success. Don’t let their words or actions discourage you. Keep striving for greatness and surround yourself with positive influences who support and uplift you. Remember, your success is not a threat to anyone else, and you can rise above the negativity.
