Hi Jakob and Olivia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We set out to change the publishing world! Fed up with the elitism of traditional publishing and looking for fresh, new voices and authors, we started doing something completely different! Since then, we have met incredible authors worldwide, published books across the country, and started a community of people, from poetry lovers to essayists to science fiction writers. The journey has been amazing, and we are so grateful to everyone who has supported us by buying books, coming out to our events, and being a part of this fantastic movement to bring publishing back to the people! That is where Liquid Cat Publishing came from.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been struggles. As we print-to-order, figuring out the best way to get orders and get them to customers quickly has been challenging. Figuring out shipping logistics, designing covers, and helping authors transform their manuscripts into books is immense work for them and us. Planning and hosting events has been entertaining, and we hope to do more.
We’ve been impressed with Liquid Cat Publishing, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Liquid Cat Publishing, we work with our writers every step of their literary journey, helping to bring out the most from their work. From an idea and rough draft to editing and publication, Liquid Cat Publishing helps our authors produce high-quality, interesting, entertaining books. We are on a mission to find new voices and new writers. At Liquid Cat Publishing, we believe every author has a story to tell, and every story deserves to be told.
