

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Morris.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi gorgeous! I’m Megan, Owner of Southern Tease. I started freelancing as a makeup artist when I was 15 and did my first wedding at 16 years old. When I was 19, I stayed up late one night dreaming up different businesses and came up with “Southern Tease.” I absolutely fell in love with the name and decided ONE DAY I would open a business using the name. At 20, I went for it.
Southern Tease will be 7 years old in a few months and I am SO proud of what it has grown to be. We wouldn’t be who or where we are without our dedicated, reliable, and talented stylists. I am so thankful to them for playing such a big role in making my dreams come true and being such a LIGHT to Brides on one of the most special days of their life!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There have absolutely been bumps in the road. The pandemic was the biggest- but not everyone believed in me along the way. I am SO glad I stayed true to myself and this dream because it has turned out to be everything I could have ever imagined and MORE!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Our team is made up of experienced professionals who truly LOVE what they do. The energy in the bridal suite is always positive because we care about the bride’s experience and are genuinely happy to be there.
We have a “Like It or Love It” policy so when a stylist finishes their service they ask, “Do you like it or do you love it?”
This way, instead of having to tell your stylist you DON’T like something, we like to make it more comfortable for our clients to say “I like it”; so we can then ask how we can make them LOVE it to make sure it is exactly what they want!
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Definitely attention to detail both on the back end of things and in the services our team performs. We try our very best, despite doing over 350 weddings a year, to respond as quickly as possible and keep our communication on point. The experience our clients have from initial inquiry to service execution is so important to us!
