Hi Bryan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started Cactus Property Inspections in May 2020 after a very long career in the oil and gas drilling industry. I saw a need in my little part of Texas for quality home inspection services. I am a Texas Licensed Professional Inspector and an InterNachi Certified Professional Inspector. I am a long-time resident of Dimmit County, Texas. I offer a multitude of different inspection services in South Texas. Inspections range from commercial property, new construction, and average home inspections to most systems and components in the house and on the property.
I am always expanding my knowledge and abilities in the inspection industry, and this will lead to me better serving the client’s needs. This thirst for knowledge led to the creation of Cactus Exterminators where I am the Certified Applicator and operator for pest and termite control services as well. Again, there I saw a need for quality service in the rural areas in which I serve. Metro areas have an abundance of service choices, whereas, rural areas tend to be neglected or overlooked.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I chuckled reading this question. When one starts out in this or any other industry, the world is there for our grasping. Or so we think. I, unfortunately, started right in the middle of the first year of Covid. Needless to say, getting into real estate offices for face-to-face meetings with brokers and agents was tough, but not impossible. I began by taking flyers and business cards to countless real estate offices, and they were nice enough to allow me to post them for the public to see.
I am not a guru of social media by any means, so with the direction of my strong support structure, mainly my amazing wife, and daughters, a social media presence happened. Once I got the first call from a client that was referred by an agent, I never looked back. I have been blessed to have had a steady flow of referrals from agents and previous clients ever since. Every inspection I do holds a higher, more powerful presence in my life, God gets all the glory for making each day a new day, with new possibilities.

Without these characteristics, this company would be no different than any other company out there. I refuse to bend my morals and integrity to try and get ahead of the competition. This will only come back to get you in the end.
